Hello Team!
I cannot wait to see you in July when we get to disciple our kids and show them who they are in Jesus! We are going to dive deep into identity – who is Jesus, who are in Jesus, who are we called to be in Jesus as we live out our life? Seems like a simple topic, but these Kampers will be coming from all walks of life and will need to KNOW God’s Son and God’s Word so that they can KNOW who they are in Christ Jesus. With all the voices out there in the world, telling our kids who and what they CAN be, let’s tell our kiddos who they ARE.
At Kids Kamp, the Lord has impressed on us the importance of unity and preparation. For this reason, we hold staff training and staff orientation. We aim to equip and edify you in ways that prepare your heart, mind, soul, and body for 5 days of discipling kiddos at an amazingly, fun Kamp!
New-to-Kamp leaders and staff will have the opportunity to learn how to counsel their kiddos, how to plan for true discipleship moments, and what the Kids Kamp culture truly is.
This training will be on Wednesday, July 22nd at 6PM, at the Heartland Church Network building in Omaha. (anyone new to Kamp MUST attend)
ALL STAFF training and orientation will be on Monday, July 27th at 10AM, at the Camp of the Good Shepherd in Louisville.
We have uploaded a staff video and developed a handbook. When you arrive at camp, we will give you a hard copy. For now, read the digital copies. (It may seem like a long read, but we have seen tremendous success when our leaders read the manuals before coming to trainings and to Kamp.)
Organized chaos and unity of the staff are keys to keeping our Kampers safe and pointed in the right direction—Jesus!
Thank you for saying yes to investing in and discipling OUR kids. It’s crucial that our kiddos KNOW WHO THEY ARE so that WHEN we send them out, they have a firm foundation of faith and identity in Jesus Christ.

Background Checks
Below you will find a fillable background check form that ALL 18+ ATTENDEES MUST SUBMIT. Background checks are required in order to provide a safe environment for our Kampers. Completed forms must be sent to Matt Lewis, the HCN Office Manager, at [email protected].
Training happens in 3 parts:
First, read the Leader Manual. It is your friend!
Second, watch our amazing team give insight about camp.
Third, attend the Top Gun: Goose training on Wednesday, July 22.
